irina (ira) komissarova

European-based scenographer and meta-disciplinary artist (she, her)

With extensive experience as a set designer and scenographer, coupled with a developing proficiency in independent performance production, I offer a distinctive perspective to the field of performance arts.
While I could be considered an emerging director, my primary focus and expertise as an outside-eye lie in the creation of immersive experiences through autonomous scenography approaches.
I work both independently and collaboratively, partnering with other artists on principles of equality and mutual respect. This approach fosters creative growth and enriches our shared artistic endeavors and research.
